Most premises liability cases involve inherent jury bias against injured people, difficult discovery and motions practice, and multiple depositions.  Insurance companies know this and attempt to leverage this knowledge into low recoveries for the injured.  Often, the journey to justice in a premises case can last many years.

NAPLA was founded with three goals in mind: 1) to provide education and resources for lawyers representing the injured in premises liability cases; 2) to build a nationwide community of premises liability lawyers for networking and collaboration; and 3) to promote safety in the general public through advocacy and holding negligent parties responsible for the injuries they cause.
